  It's a pretty church nestled in downtown Manassas. I am shopping for a wedding venue and require that my own pastor does the officiating; upon contacting BRUU it was confirmed that I could use my own officiant, so I took the time to drive two hours round trip to see the church (this was the first one to tell me I could use my own officiant, so I was excited). Turns out I was given false information via email, and the interim Reverend is actually very strict on not allowing outside officiants. Also, the website describes the reception area as big enough for ~150 people + a dance floor, but the administrator that showed me around said anything over 125 gets way too crowded. In addition, the round tables pictured in the wedding reception photos here and on facebook are not the church's - the church owns long rectangular tables. If you're church shopping for a wedding venue, keep these things in mind. Overall I was disappointed - mainly due to the inconsistency in information and wasting my time driving up due to the false information I was given, but it's a nice place. Thankfully I can rest in knowing that this experience is merely God's way of tailoring my path - my fiance and I simply aren't meant to get married in this church!

  What can I say? This place is a second home. I've been married there, got a better sense of self there, made friends there, deepened my sense of community there, laughed there, and cried there. I hope you'll give this congregation a try!
